BOOK 5
BRIDGE is not just a card game — it is a way of thinking.

A complete system for one of the most challenging auctions in Standard American.
This book presents a COMPLETE SYSTEM for reaching the best contract after the OPENER begins with a one-level major-suit opening and the RESPONDER bids Forcing 1NT.
In traditional SAYC, when the OPENER holds a minimum balanced hand and the RESPONDER makes a Forcing 1NT response with only 6–7 HCP and an undefined distribution, there is often insufficient information to determine the best contract beyond the second round of bidding. Likewise, when 1NT is played as non-forcing, partnerships may miss games or stop in inferior part-score contracts because the strength of the responder's hand is not accurately defined.
The methods presented in this book provide a practical solution to these problems by allowing the partnership to distinguish these situations more accurately, avoid poor contracts, and significantly improve bidding judgment.
The system has been developed and tested through the analysis of hundreds of representative hands, covering a wide variety of point ranges, distributions, and bidding sequences. Every chapter includes practical examples, comprehensive practice tests, and fully explained solutions.
This is the FIFTH volume in a SERIES OF FIVE BOOKS focused on studying the auction in the SAYC system, from the Beginner level up to an Advanced–Expert level.
